چکیده
Morinda lucida leaves are largely used by Congolese traditional healers for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria. The antimalarial activity their ethanolic extract has been confirmed both in vitro and vivo. However, development relevant formulations potential clinical application is hampered since active ingredients contained this exhibit poor water solubility low oral bioavailability. Hence, work aims not only to develop self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDSs) (ML) but also evaluate its alone combination with other plant extracts (Alstonia congensis, Garcinia kola, Lantana camara, morindoides or Newbouldia laevis). Based on these different various excipients, SNEDDS preconcentrates were prepared, 200 mg/g each suspended formulations. 4-day suppressive Peter’s test revealed a significant parasite growth inhibiting effect all extract-based (from 55.0 82.4 %) at mg/kg. These activities higher than those corresponding suspensions given orally same dose (p<0.05). therapy MLSNEDDS exhibited remarkable chemosuppression, ranging from 74.3 % 95.8 (for 100 + mg/kg) 86.7 95.5 mg/kg/day). In regard findings, suspension may constitute promising approach ML plants.

AIM To investigate the effect of Morinda lucida Benth (Rubiaceae) on the reproductive activity of male albino rats. METHODS Two groups of rats were treated with 400 mg/(kg .d) of Morinda lucida leaf extract for 4 and 13 weeks, respectively. The control rats received the vehicle. All the treated rats had corresponding recovery groups. At the end of each experimental period, animals were killed...
متن کاملdetection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts
in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
Formulation Design and Development of Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems Containing a Hydrophobic Selective β1-Adrenoreceptor Blocker
The present work was aimed to design and develop self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDS) with the objective to overcome the problems associated with the delivery of talinolol, a hydrophobic and poorly bioavailable drugs having pH dependant solubility. The solubility of talinolol in various oils, surfactants, cosurfactants and aqueous phases were determined to identify and select the...

Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems Containing Plantago lanceolata-An Assessment of Their Antioxidant and Antiinflammatory Effects.
The most important components of Plantago lanceolata L. leaves are catalpol, aucubin, and acteoside (=verbascoside). These bioactive compounds possess different pharmacological effects: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antineoplastic, and hepatoprotective. The aim of this study was to protect Plantago lanceolata extract from hydrolysis and to improve its antioxidant effect using self-nano-emulsi...
